CLEANING METHOD
A BETTER WAY TO CLEAN
How I clean carpet and upholstery and why it works.
After 20 years of working in the carpet cleaning business I have found a process that gets results.
The industry standard suggests you run a soap based solution from the machine to the carpets to clean. The problem is, if you're constantly applying the soap based solution, how do you ever rinse the soap out? Imagine you are washing your hands, but the water coming out of the faucet is soapy, how would you rinse the soap off of your skin? The obvious technique would be to apply the soap first and then rinse your hands. The way I clean is similar to that. I add a light mixture of earth-safe soaps and water and I pre-spray the carpet as needed. After this I come in with the equipment, which is hooked to a high-pressure, high-heat, truck-mounted machine. As I clean I only use hot water running through the machine. If the area is still slightly soiled or a spot remains, I will re apply and re rinse. The goal is to remove all spots, as well as the soiled areas, while at the same time rinsing and removing all of the soaps i have applied. Not only will this help keep your carpets cleaner for a longer period of time, you will not have to worry about your children or pets being on a carpet full of soapy residue. Another benefit to a hot water rinse, it helps with the removal of bacteria and dust mites.
